Varia Instruments Family Portrait
Last year we’ve created a new visual world to present our products.
Spending a whole day with photographer Florian Spring in his studio was exhausting, but totally worth it! We used colored light and added abstract objects to create a rather minimal atmosphere that highlights the shape of our mixers and turntable weights. The last shot of the session was a family portrait of all our products together: RDM20, RDM40, TTW10 and TTW10H.
We really like this particular photography, so we decided to make a print of it! And as you might guess now, we were looking for something that meets our approach when it comes to quality! We’re lucky to have one of the worlds best silkscreen printers around the corner, so we called Lorenz Boegli and asked if he might help us with our project. After showing him the photography he agreed to produce a limited run in his very own style.

The print was made with Boeglis patented printing technique which uses shimmering color pigments on a dark ground. Four different layers were printed, each with another reflecting powder - pink, light blue, white and silver.
The print changes it’s look with the light situation in the room - from popping, sparkling light effects when the sun hits the print, to a very calm mysterious image during the darker evening hours. We’re blown away by the result and are more than happy to share this with you!
We have produced a limited hand numbered run of 100 pieces.
